Design Manager

The successful candidate will take on a critical role in the business as Design Lead, responsible for all aspects of design on projects in the tender stage as well as throughout the project’s lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Assessing various factors to mitigate risk
• Ensuring projects can be completed to the highest standards within the constraints of time and budget
• Taking care of all aspects of administration and compliance relating to the design
• Leading all design and architectural aspects of the project
• Assessing physical characteristics of projects
• Evaluating proposed designs
• Ensuring regulatory compliance
• Supporting with cost estimates
• Evaluating return on investment to ensure project viability

Requirements

• Currently working as a Design Manager or be a Design Coordinator on the cusp of taking that next step
• Experience with a Principal Contractor, working on Design & Build Projects
• An HND / Degree in Architecture / Construction Management / Building Studies and may be a member of CIOB or RIBA
• A consultative and persuasive person with excellent communication skills
• Organised and meticulous when it comes to detail
